Excellent question!!!
Actually it's very different: with Castopod your podcast IS your social network. All interactions (likes, shares, comments) come back to YOUR Castopod's instance. Not to someone else's server. With Castopod there is no middleman between your podcast and your audience.

You can subscribe to @genebean podcast on AP at @volunteertechnologist or rss at https://tilvids.com/feeds/podcast/videos.xml?videoChannelId=8028

I guess I'm thinking more of in a podcatcher. Or like a podcatcher that also knows my social graph and can do basic social media stuff.
All videos and articles and podcast episodes etc should be natively #fediverse items etc (if that makes sense). this would hey make us superior to the closed platforms for creators imo.

As long as publishers do not use #rss, #syndication or similar hashtags when the content of the article does not concern those technologies, I’d be happy to see that coming.
Do hosted plans have an API and or webhooks? Or is there a plan to add?
Thinking of how to integrate with Ghost sites

I wonder if we'll eventually be able to use #ActivityPub interchangeably with #RSS to subscribe to podcasts etc.
