We added transcription from day one and advocated so that it becomes accepted everywhere.
We gave talks about inclusion and accessibility.
We spend time to provide Castopod ti the community for free, it does not pay our rent.
So please, please, don't rant for something we are not responsible for.
That kind of comments is very discouraging.

After reading about a major #Funkwhale instance shutting down, I'm wondering whether I should keep my podcast on open.audio.

However, the idea of an audio app that uses #ActivityPub to be part of the #Fediverse is excellent.
Any suggestions on where to host a #podcast?
P. S. I just discovered @Castopod , an alternative to @funkwhale
I want to inspect which one is more stable, and if there are good servers as well. Feedback welcome!

This is the second time Apple has embraced a community-driven standard (after transcripts in March 2024), proving that the "not-invented-here" syndrome is NOT a fatality.
Chapters + transcripts = better discoverability, accessibility, and search for the entire podcast ecosystem.
